Traders and shoppers were given a tasty treat as part of Lichfield Farmers’ Market’s tenth anniversary celebrations.
Lichfield City Council staff manned a stall and invited visitors to guess the weight of their square iced fruit cake.
And they were able to enjoy a slice of birthday sponge cake cut by the Mayor, Cllr Brian Bacon.
Before leaving the Market Square, the Mayor visited the individual stalls and spoke to producers about their produce.
The competition raised £59 towards the Mayor and Sheriff’s charities – MacMillan Cancer Support, Lichfield Stroke Club and St John Ambulance.
