A charity bookshop in Lichfield is celebrating its fifth birthday.
The St Giles Hospice store opened its doors in 2009 and will mark the landmark at noon tomorrow (January 21) when staff and volunteers will raise a glass to toast their success and cut a special birthday cake.
Lynwen Truesdale, Head of Retail for St Giles Hospice, said: “In the five years since opening, our Lichfield bookshop has established itself on the town’s shopping landscape, and it has become a firm favourite with a host of readers thanks to its fantastic range of fiction, autobiographies, children’s favourites, reference books and collectable titles.
“We’re delighted to be marking this special occasion with a birthday celebration, and are looking forward to welcoming bookworms for a good many more years to come!”
The St Giles Hospice bookshop in Lichfield is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Donations of books are always welcome and can be made by visiting the store.
