A Whittington-based charity is hoping for some Christmas cheer with the launch of a series of greetings cards.
The new designs will join a 2013 calendar in going on sale to raise money for St Giles Hospice.
Lynwen Truesdale from the charity explained: “Christmas is a time to think of others – and when people are choosing their charity Christmas cards this year, we hope they’ll think of supporting St Giles Hospice.
“Unlike many other charity Christmas cards where only a tiny fraction of the price goes to good causes, we ensure that 50 per cent of the money spent on St Giles Hospice cards goes straight to funding our specialist care for local people.
“The proceeds from our Christmas card sales form a vital part of St Giles Hospice Shops’ annual income – so people know they are making a truly worthwhile purchase.”
A choice of 21 designs is available, including embossed and foil-embellished prints, as well as a St Giles Hospice 2013 calendar featuring local scenes.
Prices range from £2.75 to £3.99 per pack of ten cards, while calendars are £3.25.
