Staffordshire Police Authority has confirmed the appointment of a new Assistant Chief Constable.

Julian Blazeby will be responsible for local policing and operational services across the county and Stoke-on-Trent.
The 46-year-old will join from Norfolk Constabulary where he was temporary Assistant Chief Constable between June 2010 and January 2011. He succeeds Marcus Beale who moved to West Midlands Police in June.
Mr Blazeby said:
“I am absolutely delighted to be appointed by the Police Authority and I look forward to working in Staffordshire with colleagues, partners and the community.”
Chief Constable Mike Cunningham added:
“I’m really pleased by today’s appointment. Julian has extensive experience in a variety of challenging leadership positions. He will play a very important part in our executive team and have a key leadership role across the force.”
