Staffordshire Police has launched a new mobile version of its website.
The site, which can be viewed on mobile and smart phones, allows people to read the latest news, appeals and Behind Bars updates, as well as finding out more details about their local officers.
Ian Fegan, Staffordshire Police’s head of corporate communications, said: “The mobile website demonstrates that we are looking to use new technology to help us meet both the demands of modern-day policing and the public.
“The site provides yet another avenue to share important information, and offers a simple and cost effective way for the public to engage with us.”
The new site comes after figures revealed that over the last 12 months the number of visitors to the Staffordshire Police website who are browsing on a mobile device has risen from ten to 35 per cent on average.
