A free promotional card which offers discounts at tourism and leisure attractions across Lichfield and the rest of Staffordshire has celebrated a major milestone after 25,000 signed up to the scheme.
The Enjoy Card was launched in the spring and has allowed residents to take advantage of a variety of special offers including kids go free, discounts and two-for-one deals.
Special offers – which are exclusively promoted through www.enjoystaffordshire.com – are also available on shopping, accommodation, restaurants and pubs across the county.
Destination Staffordshire – a partnership of public and private sector organisations working to boost tourism across the county – launched the Enjoy Card.
County Councillor Mike Lawrence, Cabinet Member for Economy, Skills and Enterprise, said:
“It is amazing that we have reached the milestone of 25,000 people applying for the card in the space of just a few months and just goes to show that residents are keen to support the local economy in troubled financial times.
“Staffordshire is brimming with lots of top tourist spots which people travel for miles to visit as well as a whole host of restaurants, pubs and shops. The Enjoy Card is the ideal way to make same big savings at some excellent leisure facilities that are right on our doorstep.”
