A LOCAL care home has made the most of the sunshine with its summer fete.

Hammerwich Hall welcomed families, residents and staff to the event, which also saw Sheriff of Lichfield Cllr Andrew Fox join the celebrations.

A spokesperson for the home said:

"We had great live music from singer Becca Gee, a bouncy castle for the younger visitors, face paint, an ice cream van, stalls, cakes, drinks, a tombola and football games, as well as our summer raffle.

"The weather and atmosphere were great. We are grateful for all of the help and donations from the families and friends, and all the support they gave us on the day."

The event raised more than £580 for activities at the home.
