A LOCAL organisation is hosting an information event for people living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.

The Parkinson’s UK’s Lichfield Support Group will give visitors the chance to meet representatives and find out more about local support on 14th May.

There will be representatives from both the NHS and Parkinson’s UK on hand at Martin Heath Hall on Christ Church Lane from 2pm to 4pm.

A spokesperson said:

“An information marketplace will be available throughout the afternoon, featuring stalls from local health, support and community groups.

“There will also be an opportunity to take part in a drumming workshop, specifically designed to support people living with Parkinson’s.”

Admission costs £3 per person. To book your place or find out more, email amanda.simsva@gmail.com or call 07547 123 589.

The relaunched Lichfield Support Group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 2-4pm at the hall.
