The first anniversary of a Lichfield park’s revamp is being celebrated with a tea party.
Shortbutts Park playground was transformed thanks to Section 106 funding in 2010, and to mark the one-year milestone a party featuring tea, cake and fun will take place on August 14.
The event will also be an opportunity to bounce around ideas about how to make the park even better, using the remaining funding.
Councillor Neil Roberts, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Development Services, said:
“We’re delighted the new playground is proving so popular and that lots more people are now enjoying Shortbutts Park. This tea party is a way to celebrate this fantastic park as a community, and a good opportunity for local people to tell us how we can make it even better.”
The free tea party will be taking place at Shortbutts Park on August 14, from 2pm to 4pm.
