THREE people have been charged with a series of off-road bike offences following a police operation in Lichfield and Burntwood.
They were caught after local officers worked alongside the National Police Air Service and the road harm team to target the use of vehicles at locations across the local area, including Chasewater.
Anthony Stokes, 19 and of Lichfield, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention, driving while disqualified, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable.
Jake Duce, 19, of Birstall in Leicester, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable.
A 16-year-old boy from Burntwood, who cannot be named because of his age, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable.
Stokes and Duce are both due to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on 12th June, while the teenage boy is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 2nd July.
