A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:

“One of the three occupants had managed to get out of the car but two were still inside the wreckage. Firefighters removed the roof of the car to allow ambulance staff to get the two out.”

An 18-year-old was taken to hospital with rib pain, while a 20-year-old was suffering with pains in his head. The third man, a 21-year-old was treated for back and neck pain.”

The spokesman added:

“The extreme cold meant the crew had to be aware of risks of hypothermia as temperatures were down to -12 degrees Celsius in the area.”
