Tickets are selling fast for a performance in Lichfield by Elkie Brooks.
The singing star plays Lichfield Garrick as part of a UK tour on June 6 and according to her Myspace page, the Lichfield date is selling out quickly.
Since the release of her first single Something’s Got A Hold On Me in 1964, Elkie has performed alongside the likes of The Animals and The Beatles.
She was propelled to mass stardom in 1981 though when her hit album Pearls reached number two and spent an incredible 79 weeks in the charts. At the time of release, Pearls was the best-selling album by a British female artist in UK chart history, selling more than 1.2million copies.
