Tourism companies have been seeing what Lichfield has to offer on a tour of the city.
Visit Lichfield invited 33 tour operators from across the region to explore some of the area’s leading attractions, including Lichfield Cathedral, Erasmus Darwin House and the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum.
Councillor Helen Fisher, Cabinet member for tourism and communications, said: “We’re so lucky to have such fantastic attractions on our doorstep, and it’s really important to encourage more visitors to the city and district to support our local economy.
“The familiarisation day was a great success with our guests saying how much they enjoyed the tour and the city’s rich history. Many also told us that it had inspired them to offer trips to Lichfield and the district, which is great news.”
