An all-women trampoline class is launching with a free taster session in Burntwood.

Women between 16 and 25 years of age , to come to a free trampoline taster session this November.

The sessions, which are funded by Sport England’s Active Women’s Initiative and aimed at women aged between 16 and 25, will run on Thursday evenings, from November 24 to March 22 in term time.

Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s cabinet member for leisure services, said: “The first taster session will be a good opportunity to see whether you enjoy trampolining.

“We hope lots of young women come along. Trampolining is a fun way to keep fit and active, and the sessions will be a chance to meet new friends.”

The classes will take place on Thursday evenings, from 7.15pm to 8.15pm, in the dance studio at Erasmus Darwin Academy on Pool Road in Chasetown.

Following the free taster session, the women’s trampoline sessions will cost just £1 a class.

“There is no need to book, just turn up and have a go,” added Cllr Richards.
