Unemployment in Lichfield and Burntwood has gone up.
Figures show that in January 1,380 people were out of work, compared to 1,265 in the previous month.
The highest rise on a local level saw an extra 24 added to the unemployment total in Fazeley ward, while Armitage with Handsacre and Curborough both saw an additional 12 people who were now without work.
In Burntwood, Chase Terrace and Chasetown ward both saw seven extra people added to their unemployment figure.
However, figures also revealed that there had been an 81 per cent rise in people out of work in Lichfield in the past five years.
In January 2008, just 768 people in the area were reported as being without a job, compared to 1,380 in 2013.
