Property investors looking for something a bit different will get the chance to bid on an unusual building near Lichfield next month.

The Elford Telephone Repeater Station is going under the hammer of auctioneers Pugh & Co in September.
These stations were used to ensure the quality of phone calls did not drop below set levels.
Despite its unusual nature, the small brick building is expecting to be a popular lot.
Paul Thompson, auctioneer with Pugh & Co, said “We’ve seen some fantastic sales results for Telephone Repeater Station properties over the years and they have become highly sought after investments.
“Often these properties are situated in rural locations with good access links, they come with the freedom of alternative uses and generally with development potential so it’s understandable to see why they generate so much interest amongst prospective bidders.”
The Elford Repeater Station will be auctioned at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on September 11. The full auction catalogue can be viewed online.
