Volunteers have again been out in force after visitors left Beacon Park covered in litter.

Bottles, cans and food packaging were strewn across the fields as people flocked to the open space to enjoy the warm weather.

But a team of volunteers were again needed to help council staff clean up the waste left behind this morning (27th June).

The latest incident of mass littering comes despite warnings from Lichfield District Council that anyone caught leaving their waste could be fined.
