Volunteers are being urged to roll up their sleeves for some nettle bashing and weed clearing at the area’s first local nature reserve.
Lichfield District Council’s Countryside & Parks Conservation Group will be returning to Christian Fields on July 3 from 10.30am to 3pm.
On the day, the volunteers will also be clearing an area in preparation to create a wildflower meadow, which will be seeded by the group at a later event and should be in bloom next year.
They will meet at Christian Field’s top car park. Volunteers must be over 18 years of age. All tools and materials will be supplied.
