Chasetown FC have agreed a deal which will see Walsall’s reserve team play their home games at the Scholars Ground during the forthcoming season.

The Saddlers’ second string currently play in the Central League West Division and will play their first game at Chasetown when Wrexham visit on August 21.

“We are delighted to have come to this arrangement with a local non-League club that we have worked closely with over the years,” said Walsall secretary, Daniel Mole.

“The facilities and standard of the playing surface are very good and we look forward to playing our second-string fixtures there throughout the season ahead.

“At the same time it will take the burden off our own pitch. Our reserve team home games will kick-off at 2pm.”
