Lichfield Festival crowds will get their first chance to catch a glimpse of the Irish Chamber Orchestra.
They will perform works by Mozart and Jorg Widmann when they appear at Lichfield Cathedral at 7.30pm.
The Lady Chapel will also host a musical performance earlier in the day when Aisa Ijiri performs at 11am.
“After her acclaimed debut at Tokyo Opera City in 2010, Aisa Ijiri has established herself as one of the finest Japanese pianists of her generation,” a spokesperson said.
“For Lichfield she is playing music by Liszt, Prokofiev and De Falla.”
Local arts and crafts will be on offer as 130 stalls make up the Florette Festival Market from 10am to 4pm on Cathedral Close, Dam Street and Minster Walk.
And The Wimpy Kid Show at the Lichfield Garrick at 2pm is a must-see for fans of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.
A light-hearted look at the rise of Scandinavian crime drama will also be on offer at the city theatre from 8pm as Inspector Norse (The Girl With Two Screws Left Over) takes to the stage.
There is also a chance to see poems from across the world performed in Being Human in the Garrick Studio at 8pm.
