A tree with paper decorations inspired by Rudolph has won Lichfield Cathedral’s Christmas Tree Festival.
The successful entry was decorated by the Nightingale class of Rugeley School.
Thousands of visitors saw more than 40 Christmas trees on display during the nine-day event.
Patricia Collins, the Cathedral’s director of fundraising, said: “For some of the visitors this was a first visit and we hope to see them again next year for this increasingly popular event.
“Money from the sale of voting tokens supported the East End Appeal, which is helping to conserve the Herkenrode glass, ensuring its safe return home to the Lady Chapel in Spring 2015.”
