A woman has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest at a gym in Staffordshire.
Medics were called to Lichfield Golf and Country Club in Elmhurst at 11.30am yesterday (February 14).
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “A woman was in cardiac arrest in the gym at the club when crews arrived and was being given CPR by bystanders.
“Crews took over resuscitation attempts, administering advanced life support, and managed to restart her heart. The woman was quickly transferred to the awaiting helicopter and airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment.
“Medics were pre-alerted to the arrival of the woman who was said to be in a critical condition.”
No further update on her condition has been given.
