THE final whistle for the season may have blown on the pitch for Lichfield City FC, but off the field works have already gone into extra time.
The Trade Tyre Community Stadium club has begun work on a dressing room expansion.
The project, which was granted planning permission last month, will see an expanded facility for away teams.
It will allow City’s stadium to meet Football Association ground grading requirements.
A spokesperson said:
“The existing changing room has an area of 16 square metres, which is below the required standard.
“The proposed extension will see the changing room enlarged to 19 square metres, along with an associated provide a privacy corridor and space for the storage of football kit, thus meeting the standards required by the Football Association.”
