Work to clear a Burntwood building site of World War Two mortar shells has been completed.

Army bomb disposal experts worked yesterday and today at the Milestone Way site after a large quantity of shells were discovered.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “All remaining munitions at the building site in Chasetown have now either been removed to a separate location or disposed of safely onsite.
“Those munitions moved to an alternative location will be disposed of safely in due course.
“We are now in the process of handing the site back to the company and are hoping to lift the cordon very soon.”
