The unmistakable roar of two iconic World War Two aircraft will be heard above a village near Lichfield tomorrow (June 11).
A Spitfire and Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will perform a fly-past at the Hamstall Ridware fete.
The event takes place from 1pm and 4.30pm with the aircraft expected overhead at 1.35pm.
A spokesperson said: “It is the only location in the Midlands this weekend where aviation enthusiasts will be able to see a World War Two Spitfire and a Hurricane flyfollowing the cancellation of the Throckmorton Airshow in Worcestershire.”
The fete takes place on the field in front of St Michael and All Angels Church and will feature attractions including a dog show, vintage car show and falconry display.
Money from the event will go towards the church, with half of the money from programme sales going to the RAF benevolent fund.
