Jack & Jill’s, based at Darwin Hall, organised an egg hunt before hosting an Easter bonnet competition, judged by the deputy mayor of Lichfield Cllr David Leytham and his wife Jan.

Cllr Leytham admitted it was a tough job to choose from the creations by the 55 children and their parents.

“It is wonderful to see the effort that the parents and children have gone to creating such fabulous Easter bonnets,” he said. “It’s hard to choose two winners because the standard is so high.”

The winners, Thomas West, 3, and Belle Burton, 2, both received Easter eggs as their prizes.

Jack & Jill’s manager Claire Thompson said: “I am so proud of the children who did a great job working with their parents to make the wonderful Easter bonnets.

“They did so well finding the hidden eggs along Cathedral Walk and all of them went home with a special chocolate prize.”
