Chasetown FC will have new signing Levi Reid in the squad as they return to league action with a home clash against Kendal Town.

The former Port Vale and Macclesfield midfielder made his debut in a much-changed Scholars line-up that lost in the Birmingham Senior Cup against Bedworth United.

But he’ll be hoping to have shown enough to earn another opportunity in Charlie Blakemore’s side this time out.

Chasetown will be hoping to rediscover the form that saw them see off Alvechurch in the FA Cup last weekend when they take on Kendal tomorrow (September 24).

Their opponents, managed by former West Bromwich Albion player Lee Ashcroft, currently sit seventh in the table, six points cleared of the 15th placed Scholars.

The Kendal squad boasts a blend of non-league and professional experience, with defenders Sean Gregan and Marc Joseph among those with Football League clubs on their CV.

Like Chasetown, Ashcroft’s men won their FA Cup outing, beating Whitley Bay 1-0, but are without a win in three league encounters after being beaten by Stafford Rangers, Chester and Northwich Victoria.

Kick-off at The Scholars Ground  is 3pm.
