
The battle for the crown of world’s smallest park has taken a new twist – after Burntwood’s American rival upgraded its facilities!
The tiny Mill Ends Park in Portland was described as a “glorified flower pot” by Kevin Wilson who is organising the world’s shortest fun run in Burntwood.
He believes Princes Park – currently Britain’s smallest park – deserves the honour as the American site does not meet the criteria.
But now residents in Portland have hit back by installing a tiny fence around their ‘park’.

According to a report on KGW.com, the American landmark now also features plastic animals ‘grazing’.
Meanwhile, journalists from across the Atlantic have been busy trying to convince LichfieldLive that they are the rightful owners of the title.
