AN unbeaten century from Adam Braddock helped Lichfield secure a seven-wicket triumph at home against Wombourne 2nds.
Having won the toss, the city side sent the visitors in to bat first – and then made two quick breakthroughs to reduce them to 16-2.
A solid knock from opener Jack Hussey was finally ended on 47 before Rob Perry was also removed on 21 to leave Wombourne on 79-4.
Jack Bradley and Alex Haynes dug deep for the visitors as they eventually reached 179 before being skittled out.
Thomas Clarke and Rory Prentice were the pick of the home bowlers, finishing with figures of 4-62 and 3-35 respectively.
Lichfield's response got off to a wobbly start though as Harry Turley-Salmons went for a duck in the first over when he was bowled by Archie Mullett, who then also claimed the wicket of Ihsaan Nadeem to leave them on 17-2.
Sarvesh Kotian made 13 before being bowled by Jack Bradley as the city men slipped to 46-3.
But Prentice's unbeaten 55 and opener Braddock's 107 from 107 balls saw Lichfield past the total.
