CUSTOMERS at a new coffee shop in Burntwood are being urged to take part in an initiative to support the town's foodbank.
The Starbucks outlet will host the Buy a Coffee, Bring a Tin event tomorrow (22nd October).
It will see a food collection to help replenish supplies for Burntwood Foodbank, as well as a raffle to raise funds to allow the organisation to continue its work to support those facing hardship in the town.
A spokesperson for Burntwood Foodbank, said:
"We’re really pleased to be working alongside Starbucks Burntwood and are excited about what this partnership can achieve for our local community.
"Burntwood Foodbank is here to support people when they need us most – and the generosity of local residents and businesses plays a vital role in making that possible.
"Whether someone brings a tin of food, takes part in our raffle or helps spread the word, every contribution is appreciated.
"The Buy a Coffee, Bring a Tin campaign is a fantastic way to encourage people to make a small difference as part of their everyday routine.
"We hope the community will get behind the event and help us make it a success."
