A COMMUNITY party has marked the tenth anniversary of work starting on a development in Fradley.

The Bellway scheme at Sheasby Park was built on the former RAF Lichfield site off Common Lane.

Since work began in 2016, a total of 397 homes have been completed.

To mark the tenth anniversary, the developer welcomed local groups, including players from the AFC Fradley under-eight team which is sponsored by Bellway.

Gareth Downie, whose daughter Larna has been selected for England Futsal Under-17s and has also been sponsored by Bellway, said:

"We’ve been part of the development for seven years now and we really feel part of the community here in Fradley.

"We love living here. The local community is really supportive."
