
A rare screening of Cecil B De Mille’s King of Kings will be accompanied by a spontaneous soundtrack by Alex Mason at Lichfield Cathedral.
Previously the assistant organist at the Cathedral, Alex has developed a reputation for his improvisational performances.
Cathedral organist Martyn Rawles said: “Few people know this magnificent instrument better than Alex and it will be absolutely thrilling to hear this prize-winning improviser create a dramatic soundtrack to a rare screening of Cecil B De Mille’s early masterpiece, in the atmospheric surroundings of Lichfield’s stunning medieval cathedral.”
