ALREWAS suffered a three-wicket defeat at Denby.
The Herons won the toss and opted to bat first, but saw two early wickets restrict them to 21-2.
But a knock of 90 by Tevyn Walcott helped Alrewas recover to reach 189 before being bowled out.
Denby made a solid start to their reply with Freddie Gosnell and Robert Peat making 45 and 32 respectively.
Quick wickets in the middle order gave Alrewas hope of victory but a 38 not out for Daniel Burgoyne helped his side to pass the total with three wickets to spare.
