PLANS to redevelop the basement and ground floors of a former hotel into residential properties have been approved.
The application will see seven properties created in the Main Hall at Swinfen Hall.
A planning statement said:
"Currently, only part of Swinfen Hall itself is being used, with the owner’s family living there. The rest of the hall is either sitting vacant or falling into disrepair.
"By converting the rest of the hall, it will ensure a constant revenue for the owner, to ensure that the upkeep of the building is maintained for the future.
"The proposed works will also enable the rest of the hall to be opened up and enjoyed by others, giving a purpose to the historic building."
