ALREWAS made it two wins in two games with an 11-run victory over Ticknall.

The Herons won the toss and opted to bat first, with skipper James Burton helping to set the foundation for a solid total by scoring 53 before being caught off the bowling of Joe Wilson.

Wickets had tumbled in the middle order to leave Alrewas on 133-6, but a 38 from William Hodgkinson and an unbeaten 42 from Sam van Daesdonk saw thew innings end on 211-7.

Ticknall’s response got off to a solid start as they reached 161-3 before captain Tom Wood’s crucial wicket fell after Gareth Woolley trapped him lbw.

The wickets were shared among the Alrewas bowlers as they skittled Ticknall out for 200 to claim the win.
