Books are being sought for a community lending scheme in Whittington.

The former telephone box at the junction of Langton Crescent and Main Street has been converted into a book box.

The facility allows residents to leave their unwanted books and collect new reading material.

A spokesperson said:

“At the moment there is a shortage of children’s books and donations would be very welcome.”
