A book based on the experiences of those living in “the worst refugee camp on earth” will be discussed at an author talk in Lichfield.
Elika Ansari will be at The George Hotel on 24th March as part of the Lichfield Literature Festival.
Her book, The Five Stages of Moria: The Worst Refugee Camp on Earth, blends autobiography and fiction, based on the first-hand insight she gained during time spent working there as a humanitarian aid worker.
A spokesperson said:
“The book follows five unique characters who are unified in their grief and grappling with the reality of the loss of their homes, hope and dignity while enduring squalid living conditions.
“Through stories, it brings back to life the largest refugee camp in Europe, and invites readers to bear witness to the monolithic trauma held within.”
