Brass band sounds will be on offer at a concert in Lichfield.
The Brighouse and Rastrick Band will be on stage at the Garrick on Sunday (19th June).
Formed more than 125 years ago through public donations, it continued to be supported through subscriptions and fundraising efforts.
A spokesperson said:
“The amateur members traditionally pride themselves on being financially independent, never having been beholden to any commercial interest, yet they are still regarded as one of the ‘elite’ on the contest and concert platforms.”
