THE next event at the Staffordshire Regiment Museum will commemorate Operation Market Garden.

Visitors on 19th and 20th September will be able to experience the intense drama of a woodland firefight as live re-enactments plunge them into the action, complete with booming sound effects, illuminations and authentic historic weapons.

Family entry is £40, or it’s £12 for an adult and £7 for a child.

All the usual attractions and displays will also be available and it’s open from 10am to 4pm. For more details visit the Staffordshire Regiment Museum website.

The museum's shop is now also fully stocked with a collection of poppy-themed jewellery, including brooches, necklaces and earrings, ahead of remembrance events in November.
