Boy critical after cardiac arrest at Burntwood Leisure Centre

Cordon was put in place in the area before 12-year-old was taken to hospital.

A BOY remains in a critical condition after having a cardiac arrest at Burntwood Leisure Centre.

Emergency services including the Midlands Air Ambulance were called at 1.10pm yesterday (4th October).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:

"The 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital by land ambulance, where he remains today in a critical but stable condition.

"A brief cordon was put in place in the area while officers completed enquiries at the leisure centre.

"The Health and Safety Executive has been notified as part of routine procedure in an incident of this nature.

"Anyone who hasn’t already been spoken to by officers with any information that could help with our enquiries is asked to get in touch."
