RESIDENTS are being invited to give their views on the development of Lichfield District Council's Local Plan at an vent in Burntwood.
Labour councillors will be seeking opinions on how future development could shape the area at Burntwood Library tomorrow (3rd October).
Cllr Steve Norman, Chase Terrace ward representative, said:
"Local councillors want residents to consider what they believe are the key challenges and opportunities facing the district and how might the Local Plan address these.
"For example, Lichfield district’s population is expected to grow by over 13% by 2046, which equates to an increase of 15,000 people. The district’s economy is expected to grow by 8% in the same period, creating approximately 4,000 new jobs.
"We can advise on how to make residents’ views known to Lichfield District Council, but they can also go onto the council website to share their views."
A consultation on the Local Plan issues is open until 5pm on 5th October.
