A Burntwood pub is hoping to help a local teenager raise £100,000 for charity.
Stephen Sutton launched his campaign after putting together a bucket list of dreams he wanted to fulfill after being diagnosed with incurable cancer.
The 18-year-old originally wanted to raise £10,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust but the fun day will help him reach his new target of £100,000.
Stephen said there would be a host of local bands performing at the event which takes place from noon until 9pm tomorrow (August 31) at the Wych Elm pub on Bridge Cross Road.
There will also be a stalls, a magician, bouncy castle and barbecue.
“We’re hoping to raise over £2,000 from this event,” said Stephen, who has endured major surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy since being diagnosed with bowel cancer three years ago.
“I’d like to thank the Wych Elm pub for supporting me and I’d encourage people of all ages to come along because there will be something for everyone.”
Pub manager Daniel Heap added: “Stephen is an inspiration and his philosophy is that there should always be some fun in fundraising so that’s what we’re trying to achieve.
“The best way to help yourself is to help others so come on down and join in the fun.”
