Burntwood Town’s struggle to avoid the basement battle was dealt a blow with a 3-1 home defeat against Coventry Spires.
The visitors had won just two games all season in the Midland Combination Division Two before Saturday’s game.
The defeat leaves Burntwood in 13th place, just four points ahead of Coventry Spires, who site three spots off the bottom.
