
A club in Burntwood has won award for its fundraising work.
Grangemoor Working Men’s Club has raised money for causes including St Giles Hospice, the Midlands Air Ambulance and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
And they beat off more than 1,500 entrants to be named charity club of the year at the Club Mirror Awards in Manchester.
Mandi Edwards, secretary of Grangemoor Working Men’s Club, said: “We are every proud of the award.
“More than 1,500 entered so just to become a finalist was an achievement in itself.”
