RESIDENTS at a local care home have been served up a treat after enjoying afternoon tea with the help of some butlers in the buff.

Barbara Burton made the "cheeky" request when asked by the team at Hammerwich Hall Care Home what entertainment she would like to see.

Wellbeing coordinator Paulina Darwin and her team immediately set about making the 76-year-old's dream a reality.

Paulina said:

"It was an amazing afternoon, and the smile never left Barb’s face all day, so we certainly gave her a day to remember.

"Everyone loved the butlers, who were wonderful and spent a long time chatting to each resident and posing for photos. From the delicious afternoon tea to the Champagne bubbles and singing from Becca Gee, it was a truly perfect treat. We were very happy to fulfill Barb’s cheeky request."

The event took place in the home's grounds, where Barbara's fellow residents were also able to enjoy the treats being served up.

Anne Dale, 83, said:

"I was surprised to have butlers in the buff serving us in our care home at our age! It was an amazing event and experience. My daughter enjoyed it too—it was something different and so much fun.”

Jean Clarke, 95, added:

"I thought I was dreaming. It was a great experience and quite unexpected."
