Volunteers are being urged to help give Lichfield’s Christian Fields a spring clean.
Lichfield District Council’s Countryside and Parks Conservation Group will cut back and maintain footpaths, clear litter and re-dig the pond between 10.30am and 3pm on Wednesday (April 4).
Councillor Val Richards said: ”The continued effort and commitment shown by the group is fantastic, and we hope more people will join the conservation effort to improve Christian Fields for visitors and wildlife.”
Volunteers need to be aged 18 or over. No specialist training is needed, but the council is recommending volunteers wear sturdy outdoor clothes and boots, and bring a packed lunch on the day.
