AN event is set to celebrate the achievements of apprentices across Staffordshire.
Held at the County Showground on 14th July, it was be the latest edition of the gathering which has seen more than 1,200 people graduate since it launched in 2015.
Figures reveal that in 2024-25, 9,615 people started an apprenticeship in Staffordshire – but demand remains high in sectors such as health and social care, construction and green skills.
Cllr Robin Hall, cabinet member for economy and skills at Staffordshire County Council, said:
"Apprenticeships are one of the best investments we can make in Staffordshire’s future. They give people the opportunity to gain valuable skills, earn while they learn and build successful careers. At the same time, they help businesses develop the skilled workforce they need to grow.
"Our annual graduation ceremony is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work, dedication and achievements of our apprentices. They should be proud of what they have accomplished and the contribution they are already making to our economy.
"Whether you are starting out, changing career or looking to develop new skills, apprenticeships offer a pathway to success. I would encourage both individuals and employers to take a closer look at the opportunities available."
Places for this year’s event can be booked online until Wednesday (24th June).
