A NEW education business will be officially opened by the Sheriff of Lichfield.
Cllr Andrew Fox will cut the ribbon on Mathnasium on 17th October.
The centre, at Swan Road, has already begun offering one-to-one maths tuition.
Preya Gill runs Mathnasium in Lichfield with the help of her husband Aman. She said:
"As a mum, I’m passionate about helping children learn. The best part of my day is receiving positive feedback. One child recently described his lessons here as 'amazing' – and one mum showed us an email from her daughter’s teacher who’d noticed how much more confident she was about maths and how she attends school lessons with much more positive energy.
"For us, understanding maths goes far beyond the curriculum. It builds problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and a way of approaching life's challenges that stays with a child forever.
"Add that to a place where your child actually wants to do maths. That's what we're building for our community. It’s so rewarding."
The grand opening ceremony will take place between midday and 2pm. The open day will also feature fun maths games and activities for children, as well as a chance for families to meet the team.
