PUPILS at a Burntwood school have enjoyed a treat as Olivier Award-nominated West End performer Alexia McIntosh performed for them.
She was part of the Gazebo Theatre production of Hidden Treasures brought to Holly Grove Primary Academy with support from the Creative Burntwood programme.
Best known for her role as Anna of Cleves in the hit musical Six, Alexia helped to encourage youngsters to "learn about and celebrate the rich histories and contributions of a range of cultures".
A spokesperson said:
"Following the show, she took time to speak with pupils about her career in the performing arts, offering an inspiring insight into life on the West End stage and answering questions from the children.
"The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience, which not only entertained but also broadened their understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives."
