Details of the first ever Lichfield Food Festival have been released.

There will also be appearances from celebrity chefs John Torode and Anthony Worrall-Thompson, as well as some of Lichfield’s very own talented culinary creators.

Adrian Jackson, Lichfield Garrick’s artistic and executive director, said: “We’re looking forward to launching Lichfield’s first ever food and drinks festival this September.

“It will be a weekend of wine and ale tasting, celebrity chef demonstrations and plenty of fine dining!

“The great thing about Lichfield Food Festival is that not only is it an all-weather event because the majority of it is taking place indoors, we’re offering free entry to most of the cookery demonstrations and events.”

The festival will involve venues across the city that will be offering special fixed-price menus, offers on wine and ale, and vouchers to save money at local eating and drinking establishments.

“We’re keen for as many local producers, restaurateurs, cafés, pubs, and market stallholders to come on board as possible over the festival weekend,” Adrian added.
